Question Ammo bros in Santa Ana?

Just checked and didn't realize this place closed. Does anyone know what happened?

They were running a huge sale a few months back advertising that they were moving and wanted to sell as much stock as possible instead of having to lug it all to their new location. Apparently that new location is still TBD?

Looks like their new location is not yet open, at least according to their website, but yes, not too far up the road from Rifle Supply.

Oh wow. Doesn't make too much sense to move to a place with a set competition but let them do what they wish. They opened a Krispy Kreme right across the street from a Boston donuts recently. Competition! That also means sharing the limited amount of gun buyers and owners. Thanks cagunners.

Actually it makes a lot of sense. Most gun owners in Huntington Beach have more money than they know what to do with.

From what I recall, the lease at their Santa Ana location was non-renewed, so it seemed like they were forced to move. As far as finding a new location, I imagine it’s not the easiest task in CA to find a landlord that will rent to a gun store, and certain locations will just be more welcoming of it. Being fairly close to Rifle Supply, at least they know there’s already an established local market for their goods and services.

Funny you bring this up, as I live right near there and still remember the original Krispy Kreme that opened up in that same shopping center ~25 years ago and eventually closed down. Guess they figured enough time had gone by to give it another go. One thing we know for sure, Boston Donuts will live on.

Rifle Supply has outgrown that location. Can’t hardly move in that place sometimes. Asses and elbows. They need a bigger shop perhaps something the size of Rifle Gear.

I should have bought more of their clearance items as my budget for 2A stuff are extremely limited (i'm poor, a cheapbloke.)

Turned 2.5k into 2.5k + a sa 1911 loaded + ruger pcc + a fn chf upper.

They have. I think alot has to do with how it's set up inside. The display shelves blocks the entrance and when there's a line, customers walking in/out have to go in-between them just to pick up items off the shelves. But, it's hellva lot better than their previous location that was a few buildings down. That room was barely large enough to fit 5 ppl shoulder to shoulder (being sarcastic) LoL. This shop has always been great from the very first time I walked in. The employee's and ppl that run this place is super friendly and chill; they've been like this from day 1.

I am a firm believer that gun enthusiasts will always travel to get good deals and service. So if that is the case, then it doesn't matter if you are right next door to another shop or an hour away. If you have a good operation, people are going to come. I pull customers from all over Bakersfield and it is 30-50 miles away and I have crappy hours.

People drive 20 miles up there to get to a grocery store, but the meat of what you speak rings true…

Yes, I was telling my kid about it. I remember it being one of the first around. It was good, then everyone wanted to be healthy and it died off. I guess we all want to be a little less healthy. LOL.
