The sub 300 is great; 50% the cost of Target too. Just ordered some 124 9mm - 1K rounds for $259 to the door. If its the same as the 300, Ill be ordering more.

Shipping is fast and very professional - boxes are reinforced and well protected. Service for the account was same day.

Just generally great service.

Ive only bought their 9mm its good ammo for the price but ive had several failures with it so i just shoot supervel remans primarily now

HSL's 45 is actually a sleeper find. It's gone through my Springfield TRP Full Rail across at least a case's worth so far without any FTFs and FTEs. It's a TMJ instead of FMJ for cleaner shooting as well as being a little faster with its muzzle velocity on average versus most popular brands. (850fps vs 830fps)

Thanks for the info. Yeah I’ve been shooting SuperVel 124gr remans exclusively for the past several months as I’ve been shooting more matches. Zero issues and extremely consistent performance.

HSL is good ammo, BUT

1. It's reman, they reuse cartridges with high-quality powder and primers (according to them)

2. It DIRTY AF! I mean black dust everywhere on everything. First thing I do is clean it, so add 20 minutes per case.

It's decent range ammo for a good savings, but I've definitely had a few funky ones in the mix. If your plinking at the range it's decent. If you're testing your guns for performance or competition, etc., buy the good stuff.

Oh, and they always have a discount code which makes shipping free. They don't charge CA tax.

Magtech is G2G. It's good quality new factory ammo, I'd def buy it without hesitation for range use. Super Vel Certified Select is softer and more competition-oriented. For general shooting I'd take whichever is cheaper between Magtech and Super Vel. I'd choose Magtech over HSL reman if they're close in price.

First, they have their entire history on the site from the founding of the company, the downfall, the rebirth, and I love that they kept their original logo and packaging. I think this is a must-read for anyone interested in this company.

This is similar to how the Triumph and Indian (motorcycle) brands were defunct for a while and then were revived.

There is a reason I don't buy Norma ammo today but it all makes sense if one reads their history online.

I like that they even had a sampler pack available to try different grain weights.

I found the ammo super consistent and accurate. Loved that. Ran flawlessly. No weird smelling gun smoke like Aguila. Seemed to run clean.

Price was a little higher than I usually pay compared to my usual bulk orders of Sellier & Bellot.

Been using HSL lately after making my first order back in May and I can agree with the 2nd point. It's dirty. After shooting some rounds, the my mat on the table will be lightly coated in black dust.

Overall the ammo itself has been running well for me while plinking. The price point is the major benefit in these times.

I'll probably start looking into SuperVel once I run low.
