Anyone here enjoy fishing?

I try and get a taste of all the fishing we have in the state, from Sierra flyfishing trout down to the tuna boats in San Diego. Recently been having fun catching leopard sharks and bat rays, but my ol' reliable is fishing the California Aqueduct for striped bass and catfish.

My wife and I have found a spot in SD harbor where we can catch all the rays and small sharks we want. We recently took some friends out and they caught their first saltwater fish off our boat; great time!

I just taught some youngsters from out of state how to trout fish with salmon eggs. They had a ball. It's a great excuse to be out in nature. Nowadays, if people come upon a lone male in the great outdoors they might get a little uncomfortable. If you're fishing, it's, oh, he's just fishing. Sad but true.

I heard recently it might be okay to carry in CA while fishing, without a CCW. 90% of the time it's fine, but sometimes druggie cretins/criminals appear. And they think they own the woods.

Just curious to see if there's other fisherman on here! If so, where do you like to go and what kind of species do you fish for?

Staff here has been going after yellowtail and largemouth bass.

Love to go fishing! Salmon near Brookings, Oregon (Chetco River) is awesome. I'll usually get up there once a year. Have also had amazing trips catching Walleye at the Northwest Angle/Lake of the Woods. This is reminding me to get back up there! September is the best.
