Law Appeals Court Blocks California’s Background Checks for Ammunition Buyers - (7-24-2025)

Ordered with Midway on 7/24, today I got email saying order was held up because California DOJ had not updated their policies to comply with Courts Decision.

Called and talked to customer service and she said CA DOJ was dragging their feet and the matter should be resolved in days, if not hours. Two hours later she called me back and said everything with CA DOJ was good to go and ammo orders have cleared to ship.

Got my updated tracking # info by email a couple minutes later.

I think CA DOJ was letting the clock run out on the exact date and time of implementation on the Courts Decision to see if they could legally rebuke/stall it.

For every second a citizen in CA could not or can’t order commercially available ammunition from a vendor online, and have it delivered to their front door, a crime is being committed by the state of California. They get away with moving the goal post because no one in the judicial system puts a stop to it. All the legalese talk is nothing more than smoke and mirrors that illegally prevent citizens from exercising their constitutional rights. People need to be held accountable or this nonsense will continue to infringe upon the 2A rights of Californians.

The fact that we have to cross over into other states or obtain some nonsense license of privilege is the exact opposite of what the framers intended.

He should. For CADOJ that is enough provocation to illegally kick in his door at 2AM and shove a loaded gun in his face.

This is not the state to roll the dice in. The powers that be are tyrants. As a gun owner in this state one has to be hyper aware or suffer potential consequences.

I think it's an infraction for the purchaser, so probably a little premature for door kicking.

I realize you live in a land of hypothetical, hyperbolic opinions, but Nobody is kicking in doors at gun point to cite an infraction.,
30314 (c) A violation of this section is an infraction for any first time offense, and either an infraction or a misdemeanor for any subsequent offense.
