I’m in Rocklin and have a Gen 3 model 19 I’d consider selling

Get a Shadow Systems Glock clone for $900 and you'll come out ahead. It's on the roster and a lot of gunshops have them in stock. Glocks are sold out everywhere. Might as well wait for the gen 6. But keep in mind whatever you do all pistols without microstamping are banned Jan 2028. So you dont have long to buy a semiauto pistol.

There's more to the bill than the finding that microstamping is technologically viable, it also has to be commercially viable with actual manufacturers providing actual alternatives. Can you imagine the backlash if any major gun manufacturers actually did this?

I just sold all my Glocks, thought it was a great time to get rid of them since I never really enjoyed shooting them. Used the cash for a my first 1911 and looking for a subcompact option to replace the G26 I got rid of.

Along with my 26 year old G19, I have a Gen 5 that at one time I had for sale here in the classifieds. Told my nephew about it and he said he wanted it bad. So I marked it as sold. He had to back out of the sale ( in his defense it was a good reason) and I never relisted it. I would have sold it to him for 600 dollars on the family discount.

Yeah well the thing about waiting and hoping is the uncertainty of it, the "what if", the FUD as you guys like to call it. If I can buy Gen 3 right now for regular dealer prices, why not? At least thats my thought process

Lol! When I first posted the ad I think I had it listed at 750 or 800 sometime last year. Many inquiries and members "on the fence" about purchasing but no takers, although I think it would have eventually sold within another week or so. I would like to see the Californyized Gen 6 come. Don't know what type of re-engineering it's going to take for a mag disconnect. The LCI wouldn't take too much. But like other members have posted, there are several great alternative options out there.

Dont over pay for a glock the m&p2.0 id argue is over all better value vs a over priced gen3.

Was there a CA-Specific law; federal; what?

I also see they seem to have totally redesigned their guns due to scrutiny from anti-gun s, leading to the V6 line….. its hard to tell what is federal, state, etc.

I’m about to sell my Glock 19 Gen 3 OD green if you want to buy. Kinda gucci out though lol. I’m in the Elk Grove area. All the local FFLs (if they do have it in stock) wants 700-800 for a gen 3. After the new tax, you are paying 850-900 for a gen 3. Which is why you such buy mine as a PPT. lol

City Arms in Pacifica has a Glock 19 Gen 5 COA on sale for around $2k. I looked at it and it was...a Glock 19 with an enclosed red dot...for 2 g's....

I think the M&P 9 Compact is the correct choice at this time. It's a well known handgun. Maybe the Eschelon will start developing a track record.

Where are you located? Maybe someone can help you find the Glock you’re looking for in store nearby - there are some still at a LGS near me in Sac. I’ve seen some used ones on consignment going for more than the few new ones I’ve seen still for sale.

Or just get an alternative as mentioned above… The Echelon seems to be better than a G19/17 in just about every way; I have one in jail right now (bought it immediately after handling it and feeling the trigger), it is so much nicer looking/feeling and has a way better trigger stock than my Glocks even with modifications.

I have a G19 and G26. If money was an issue, I would sell the G19 (well, either of them but the G19 is more equivalent) in a heartbeat to keep the Echelon 4.0c. If you prefer the full size, I would sell the G17 and get the Echelon 4.5 and you’ll still have money left over for holster, upgrades, and ammo due to the crazy Glock prices right now. No-brainer imo.
