Any bears where you live? I kid, I kid....just waiting for the inevitable "no one shoots bears" post after someone says they like 10mm.

I have fairly regular encounters with bears, mountain lions, and drug addicts. It’s true I’ve never really been hassled by a bear but I wouldn’t want to be unarmed around one. Junkies and feral dogs are a bigger problem than anything.

While we’re on the topic of bears and junkies, bear mace is a highly effective less than lethal option for junkies

You know, just to put it out there as an informational post here: normal OC spray, like self defense for human OC spray, has a significantly greater concentration of capsaicin than bear spray. However bear spray has a lot greater accelerant content and like triple the range. It’s a pick your poison kind of situation

I like it for the range. I don’t like them to be close enough to me that I can smell them before I get to spray them
