What vendor are you using for your competition ammo? I’m currently using reman from super vel (124 gr) and or black
Dot (147 gr). Are there others I should try? Shooting an atlas Athena in LO.

So far I've used pretty much any ammo. Magtech 115g both steel & brass, Federal 115g, Magtech 124g, Winchester 115g White Box, my reloads 115g, local range reloads 124g.

Plan on buying some bulk reloading stuff, likely from Blue Bullets here shortly.

I would check out everglades for bullets, Blue Bullets aren't even cheap and they kinda suck. They would be awesome if they were significantly cheaper than copper plated but they aren't. I've run a ton of the blems and the regular 124s from everglades and they are much better. At richmond I once shot a steel popper and a guy came over from the next bay because he got hit with my bullet, the blue bullet had just broken instead of deforming like lead should it was just a half a bullet. he didn't get hit hard because it' basically just flew in the air and came down but it made me feel like they just weren't worth the cost.

I'm buying the cheapest 9mm that reliably goes bang I can get. just got a couple thousand 115 gr steel cased Winchester lol

WWB has always worked great for me... it's just dirtier than most of the other guys. It's like 4x dirtier than any of the other bulk 115g that I've shot.

I’ve reloaded more than 10,000 Summit City bullets. Lost count . They don’t have the sales and deals they used to , but if you buy 3k, it’s free shipping . I’ve loaded 2400 blue bullets no issues. Just bought 2K more 147. Rocky Mountain Reloads runs sales. I got a good deal on Berrys copper plated 124’s at Sportsman’s online with in store pick up. I practice with 124’s because they are cheaper. 147’s for matches. 124’s go on sale from time to time and are good to grab. Precision Delta is fairly priced.

These came in cardboard boxes I have no idea if it’s dirty or not lol. Dirtiest ammo I ever shot was rust vendor made ammo it was making smoke clouds and my wife thought something was wrong 😭🤣🤣

Summit city coated bullets. I think it's just the coating that smokes a bit extra. what can I say I bought like 12k for 7 cents each a while back

Yeah I bought 1k rounds of Herter’s which I think is the same stuff. You can even see how much smoke it creates as someone is shooting. Will be sticking to other stuff now that I shot through it.

The box says Winchester USA forged steel shellcase 9mm 115 gr, brass jacketed lead core and the box is tan color, 1190 fps

Those free shipping sales were crazy. The .7 cent days are over. His minimum order now is 3k. The 124 and 147 flat nose work fine.
I have 6lbs of N320 which I’ve never used. Supposedly , that powder causes less smoke with coated bullets.

Yeah I'm using some ancient w231 that I got in a trade, it's way stronger than regular 231 lol. I don't notice the smoke during matches but a bill drill indoors is fun

Looks kinda cheap but will know soon if it's reliable, I have not had issues with ammo ever really. I think because I have really good handguns lol
I haven't really either (except the Critical Defense I talked about in that other thread). I think because I have really mid handguns. 😂

I haven't shot any of this, but I have definitely run a good amount of steel cased NATO MILSURP.
