They also claim a gun cable lock for a handgun is mandatory. No gun safe affidavit allowed. But every other gun shop allows the affidavit for handguns. is that just a easy way to make a quick 10 bucks or is it really mandatory?

I see conflicting info online. I've asked 3 different stores what, exactly, I need to purchase a firearm and none have mentioned a cable lock. That being said, I have a F-ing mountain of them from previous purchases, so I'm just going to keep one in every vehicle, just in case. FWIW, Harbor Freight has them for $3.49.

10 years ago that was enforced. I would bring my own in original packaging to show it was new and unused. Some places accepted those, Turner's never did. They would make me buy a lock from them even though I was holding one of my own.

One place I bought a lower from accepted my locks. I remember bringing spares and giving them to other customers waiting to pick up their guns.

Since then no one has asked for or made me buy a lock.

That's a very Turners thing to do, it would seem. They are one of the 3 that didn't mention it; probably setting me up for failure.

I went to turners in West Covina and overheard an elderly gentlemen trying to get rid of his glock 26 bnib. Turners asked if he wanted to put it on consignment and he declined. As he was leaving I caught up with him and asked him if he didn't mind showing me his firearm. He agreed and we followed him back to his car. Gun checked out and we went back in to do the ppt. Workers were indifferent to the whole situation. Finished the paperwork and left without paying for the glock because it was so spur of the moment. Met up with the owner the next day at his house to pay and he gave me a discount on the originally agreed price. This is how I ended up with my first ever glock.
