Ca 3 in 30 new rule, FFL03/COE Exemption

I think a number of the readers have their FFL03/COE. With the new 3 in 30 firearm purchase limit, there is language that exempts FFL03 holders from this limitation (same as when 1 in 30 was in effect).
As a suggestion, it would be helpful to have a list of stores that honor the exemption for either a new sale or PPT. I can start as I was just informed today that Poway range (PWG) does not honor that exemption. Thoughts and feedback appreciated.

Does anyone know if Manzano Munitions accommodates this exemption? I skimmed thru the thread but didn’t see any mention of them. They do PPT, right?

yesterday, i had an ffl during a ppt, when i showed my credentials for the 3 in 30 exemption; told me is only valid for c&r. i told them no, they contacted their manager, and their manager also said it’s only for c&r. so, that counted towards my 1 in 30.

The FFL is possibly confusing the 10 day wait exemption with the 3in30 law exemption.
The COE/03 exempts you of the 10 day waiting period only on C&R firearms.
The COE/03 exempts you of 3in30 on all types of firearms.

We should label FFL’s that are difficult and uncooperative as having “Turners Syndrome ”. Maybe I’ve started something….

I bought 3 revolvers from Turners Reseda when the limit was 1 handgun per 30 days and Turners accepted my C&R/03 as the exemption to the 1 handgun per 30 days and they did a single DROS for all 3 firearms and released all 3 firearms without issue.

There’s always an exception to the rule. I’d argue a majority of Turners are difficult to work with to say the least. Just about every PPT I’ve done over the years, both parties have strongly agreed to avoid Turners at all cost. I’m sure most of the members here would agree as well.

No, it was specifically the 3 in 30. after they told me no, the person behind the counter asked if i had already purchased three in 30 because if so i can wait a little longer before submitting dros so i dont get denied.

Ask the person behind the counter to drop down the 30 day restriction exemptions box and select the "Collector - 03FFL - Valid COE" option for you assuming you have those with you while you are doing the DROS.

Does the oldest date drop off like on a rolling basis? Or is it now the latest date that counts for 30 days onward?

Bullseye Bishop accepted my FFL03 + COE for the 3-in-30 exemption. I asked Jose at the start and he said no problem, and at the end, he showed me that it was used for the exemption. I've done it for a new purchase and a PPT.

UG Imports and Petaluma Gun & Reloading Supply both said they accept the FFL03 exemption - have transactions planned at both this week, will report back if there are any hiccups.

No issues with Fowler's Gun Room and On Target in OC accepting FFL03 for 3/30 exemption.
