CA Roster for Long Guns?

Hey all!

Dumb question, but is there an equivalent to the DOJ CA Hand Gun Roster but for long guns? I've searched the DOJ site, but came up with nothing. I'm in the market for a new long gun and found a few that I want on GunBroker, but how do I know if they are CA legal and able to ship to my FFL? I bought a Benelli M4 on GunBroker in the past but knew that particular version of the M4 was CA legal, but is there a definitive list of CA legal long guns?

No, however there are certain long guns that were banned by name some time in the 90s or early 2000s (I can’t remember when). Mostly AR and AK variants.

I’m sure somebody here will post up the link to the list.

No roster per-say, just have to be maglocked or featureless. Middlemen like @EBR Works can receive the firearm and convert to you for a very reasonable fee. Cheapest way is for them to install a CompMag

California Code, PEN 30510.

The list is pretty much the list from the expired 1994 federal assault weapons ban. California’s banned by make and models are from that list.

Sounds like you a referring mainly towards semi auto centerfire rifles for fixed mag or featureless.

f) A semiautomatic shotgun that has both of the following:

i) A folding or telescoping stock.

ii) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath
the action of the weapon, thumbhole stock, or vertical
handgrip.

g) A semiautomatic shotgun that has the ability to accept a
detachable magazine.

h) Any shotgun that has a revolving cylinder.


a) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity
to accept a detachable magazine and has at least one of the
following:

i) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath
the action of the weapon.

ii) A thumbhole stock.

iii) A vertical handgrip.
