Doubles the cost at minimum. I'm working on getting my CCW now and if everything goes well it's going to be ~$1,900 total.

Unfortunately for any first time gun owners at that time, they would need to get an FSC first to get the guns they would need to go through the CCW process. Personally I am going this route, so I won't need to worry about renewing my FSC when it expires. But not everyone will be able to do this.

Ok let me rephrase. The collection I've wanted since I was a kid playing airsoft. There are a few pricey ones in there and I only started a few years ago. 7 should be plenty

You say you support it but as it is written this is exactly how it would go, and yes it is dumb. It's not supposed to make sense, it's just supposed to sound good to get the support needed to pass, and then the facade falls when it turns into a show in practice.

You put too much faith in our politicians and take what they say at face value. Just look at how AB1263 turned out for us. Supporters of it said it wouldn't be that bad, it ended up being worse. We lost many good vendors who now refuse to ship anything to CA regardless of if it falls under AB1263, and even manufacturers aren't shipping parts and are refusing warranty service.

This is what you and other naive people support, and this fractured gun community in CA is why things will only get worse and we can never win. If we can't even come together to oppose these ridiculous 2A infringements, there is no hope for us.

DROS is getting replaced, and something tiered and shall issue which would be person and not transaction centric would be my solution to save our licensing system, and save $350,000,000.

I remember buyin my first handgun in 94 and you needed a bfsc card. Simple test and at the time it was suppose to be for lifetime. Yeh that only lasted a few years at best once they realized they can make everyone pay everytime they changed the system.

I’ve got a better idea. End DROS. End registration and require the state to delete all of the data they’ve accumulated on firearms ownership. The state has no right to restrict our rights, and it’s far past time the Supreme Court struck down California’s laws.

What about every other right? Should you take and pay for a class for those rights? No! We have taken away personal responsibility. If you use guns it is your responsibility to learn them and be responsible for the manner used. If you mess up, we have laws to deal with it. This is getting crazy. The point is never about safety, but about making it harder and harder to use guns.

If you support this, ask yourself what this will solve? We have murder and manslaughter charges, as well as a litany of other gun laws. What we need to do is enforce the laws I place and stop letting criminals out.
