You’re confusing the federal Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) with the State Department of Justice.

Part of the "Other" AWB registration requirements that the DOJ put out were that the firearm couldn't have a brace or carbine buffer tube on it, even though theres nothing in the law saying anything about buffer tubes or braces.

Lol DOJ denied my AWB registration because I had a finger stop on my AR pistol. So what defines a vertical grip other than it is vertical and with the assumption you can wrap your hands around it? I can wrap two fingers around the finger stop. There's no clear definition on the DOJ AW paper other than "vertical" and verb "grip". Isn't that why people were able to use bullet buttons in the first place? There was no law saying you can't use a tool to detach the mag. Then they made a law.

DOJ says lugs are threads because threads actually universally accept suppressors.

Would one of you mind getting your GTO confiscated and filing a lawsuit that requires CADOJ to prove that lug == threaded and force them to try and attach a suppressor while in court?

Haha I had that in mind. Too bad I had my GTO pinned and welded . But yeah DOJ would have to prove that it is their burden as the prosecuter.

Would the DOJ try to prove it wasn't pinned and welded before they try to confiscate from you? Like let's say I was at the range and they saw me with my GTO?

So you can swap between comped and non-comped slides. This is a rather cringe for 1911/2011's enthusiasts as slide lockup and fitting is typically unique to each frame and slide, where hand fitting is king (and tedious). But I'm a sucker for modularity.

Cheaper to port a 4 or 5 inch honestly. Plus that barrel with lugs is a no go in Cali is the current word

At first I heard people saying the P211 may not be hand fitted, but I received an email from Sig support when I tried to order P211 spare parts saying SigCustom division assembles and makes the pistol, so I'm assuming and am glad the P211 are hand fitted.

Sounds about right, the DOJ does whatever they want regarding AWB registration because the window to register is too short to lodge any complaints about their rulemaking the conventional way.
