I'm chunky and I wear an XL t-shirt and it fits just fine. It's the pants I have trouble with, so I just go around Porky-Piggin' it.

Don't like the font on the cup. Something more uniform would be better. Hopefully these won't be 30 bucks. If theres a hoodie for $30 I will buy it but hopefully you arent expecting to charge $30 for 1 shirt or 1 cup. Not because I'm trying to rip anyone off or anything but because I think we can all agree that the people in here are poor or have spent everything on weapons already.

It's kinda hard for me to take seriously, when you have a $1200 CZ SP01 and saying my shirt is too expensive. ;) When people buy a shirt, I'll also give supporter status for a period of time which includes perks like fewer ads, saved search, more listings, etc.

I'm also sourcing from a veteran owned company. The cup I made for myself, so there's only one.

I'm also trying to recoup my initial investment into the site still, I'm negative several thousands dollars still. The people spent their $$ on guns, there's sellers receiving $$ for their guns, but I don't see anywhere near the donations that people sell. More people are selling now too, but fewer people are donating.

Unfortunately, I can only give away so much for free. If you buy one or not its okay. I don't skimp on quality and the money is going to be reinvested in the site. I'm not looking to do a fundraise to keep the lights on, I actually want to expand, get some banners, print more stickers, reach out to FFL's, sponsor events, etc. So I try to offer, what I consider fair prices, since you can see where the funds are going.

Or is the expectation, I should work for free and watch while everyone sells their several hundred to multi-thousand dollar guns & accessories?

To that, I'll be happy for you if you can sell your firearm. Just consider the amount of work I had to do and have to do to operate, maintain, and grow the site. This isn't my primary job. It's actually a losing endeavor for now, but it'll be ok in the long run. People like to use the system, so I have a path. I want people who enjoy the site to have something physical for year one and who want to help us continue forward. I'm only making as many as I can sell.

I understand the idea of not having "guns" on your shirt generally. But i think the text being small enough eliminates the risk. I just don't see a bad guy reading small print on shirts before they do what they came to do..

Like its been mentioned before; going to be hard promoting the community without the actual site name.

I'm buying one either way, but its just to support the site- I can't imagine a scenario where wearing it helps someone magically find the forum.
My thoughts fwiw

I appreciate the suggestion. We'll have a couple of variants over time, the website name is on the neck of the shirt, so its subtle. We're also printing caguns on the sleeve so most people won't even notice it.

For our first run, I think we're going to make very little money on this in an effort to get the shirt out as a thank you for our first year. I've decided to lower the price to $21 + tax and $5 fixed shipping. This is the lowest I could go with an extremely small margin but more importantly, for our first run we'll try to get it out into as many people as possible.

$21 + tax + $5 shipping for a shirt with two sides and sleeve print that's manually pressed by a veteran in SoCal. The extra dollar will go for a sticker that'll be included in every shipment plus a coupon for 2 months of CAguns Supporter benefits. You can gift it or use it.

The prices will likely go up after this run, but being our 1 year I think it's good to promote the community. The community helped build this site.

The shirts will be preorder only and you won't be charged until it's ready for shipment. Hopefully we can get a good number of people to purchase and take this place to another level and help spread the word.
