I'd like to think you shoot the guy before he even gets the gun out ideally. Impressive either way.

I'm assuming the manager is thinking that it's not worth possibly getting shot over giving up your keys and reporting your car stolen by an armed thief. Sure it's wishful thinking, but at least it's better than the backseat warriors on youtube that criticize every move in the safety of their chairs.

Either way, you'd have to have nerves of steel and confidence in your draw to draw on a guy who already has his gun out on you. In all honesty I don't think I could pull that off in a seated position.

Gutsy play indeed. Glad the right man won. Not only did this guy prevent himself from being shot, he likely saved the public from a future crash or crime. Hope this kid didn't die or anything negative lifelong but I am pleased he got to take home a souvenir.

No joke about 2-3 months ago I got hit and ran in a gas station by a black guy wearing a ski mask with similar clothes, I was paying attention to him but didn't expect that lol. It was a relatively minor thing with a scratch because he tried to squeeze in between us and I got his plate and report/video but still, shows how you need to really pay attention.

What happened

ill try to make it short,
Went to work night shift (forgot ccw)
Got off 6am and was driving home 3 lane highway, I was in 2nd lane and 3rd lane merges into me, there was uhual pickup who apparently got upset because I didn’t move over for him to merge, I kept driving but he passed me and started brake checking me, I proceeded to speed up and kept doing it, then he started throwing bottles at my windshield so I called 911 and reported it, while on the phone the 2 lanes turn into 1 lane so he’s in front of me and suddenly stops blocking the complete lane with the truck sideways (barricades on both sides)

I see him get off and walk towards me with a handgun, I reached in my console for mine but realized I forgot it, I couldn’t reverse due to traffic behind me, no where to go he came up to my window and said he’s crazy and if I want to die while pointing the handgun at my head, I’m still on the phone with 911 and there hear everything. Meanwhile I told him no I don’t and he said “you don’t know who your messing with” proceeded to try to take my wallet I told
Him I don’t have anything and he walked back to his truck, the operator heard and said you can meet an officer at the local gas station for the report. (She didn’t care) and that was that, ever since then I never forgot it

once, not long ago, I took wrong CCW. Instead of taking the one I carry every day I grabbed another one in similar holster. All my carry guns are in safe holstered, and usually loaded with one in the chamber.
Put it on myself AIWB and took off. At the end of the day , driving home from work, I realized it felt different. Touched it through my shirt and realized there was no magazine. Thankfully didn’t needed.

FAFO. Big boy was READY, though the jacker telegraphed every bit of his intentions and Big Boy was wise to be ready. This is why you never let your guard down, maintain situational awareness.

Also, this is yet another advantage of Tesla Supercharging...none of this crap going on, at least not with the same incidence. If someone takes your Tesla they'd also have to take your phone, but many d-bag thieves wouldn't know this.

You cant just drive off if you are plugged into a super charger.

You can with the right disconnect device. They're made expressly for that purpose.
Superchargers have a lot less incidental crime as it is, so even without the disconnect device it's a lower overall risk. Nobody's hitting up a Supercharger to rob a non-existent cashier.
