Until a few weeks ago, I had heard online that nobody had ever successfully deregistered, and that the DoJ had not set up any process for it and wouldn't know how to handle it if someone tried. And then, a few weeks ago, someone reported succeeding in deregistering a BBRAW. I think they had to do it by writing a letter. The only thing is, I don't remember where they posted about it. Try this forum first, or Reddit. I don't think it was on the Calguns forum, not sure

Thanks I've looked in a lot of places I basically get told I'm an idiot for wanting to deregister and sell my entire rifle instead of keeping my lower as a registered BBAW. This is the email I got in response from the CA DOJ but no where can I find someone actually successfully deregister whether that be recieving a letter back confirming deregistration or a phone call. Highly doubt they would ever call.
