When doing a PPT, do the magazines need to be magblocked before the PPT, or can I wait the 10 days and then add the magblocks and epoxy or rivet at home.
 
To be safe, I would mag block them prior to the PPT. Some FFLs require the magazine as part of the PPT, especially if it's an obscure off-roster unicorn, and for the Firearm Safety Demonstration part for the buyer.

Alternatively, you can just hand all of the accessories and mags to the buyer outside prior/after the transaction. I've done that numerous times as a buyer/seller, but usually mag blocked.
 
i find an FFL that does it mag less and then its no headache on anyone. No law says they need a mag in there. That being said if you have only that one, yes you'd have to have it setup for 10 rounds before any gun shop sees it as they are not supposed to allow those. Please do not walk into a shop with it

The seller said to just buy a 10-round mag to make it easier and he discounted it $100 so I don't really mind but as you said about FFL needing the magazine, should I tell him or shouldn't it matter.
 
You only need the 10 round mag for the safe handling demo when you pick up the gun, unless you are an exempt (e.g. CCW permit holder). The fate of the 21rd mag is between the seller and you. The FFL may not release the LCM to you, unless they block it at your request first.

Freedom mags are still legal to possess. 9CA granted an injunction till plaintiffs file the cert.
Mag repair kits are not legal to sell or transfer, if those include the LCM parts.

okay so we dont need the oem mag that is 21 rounds I can just bring the 10 round mags I bought and have him stuff it in the case.

the gun is a canik tti so the ffl dealer wont ask for the magazine when doing the PPT?

you sure? I thought the March decision basically broadly made it illegal to possess them even? granted these things keep going back and forth.

The deadline for certiorari in Duncan v. Bonta has been extended to 18 July 2025 by SCOTUS. 2 days from today. The case is in preliminary injunction status, meaning that the law is not fully in effect, yet. If they decline certiorari then the issue is over and done with. If they grant it, then there will be a hearing before SCOTUS.
