Clubs Banning the Sig p320

I get ya, but it's different kinds of volume.. You can sell 2k P320's i'll see way less but we run through, for a class 1000-2000 rounds so the wear is a lot more. I'm not saying majority is messed up, but it's roulette so the ranges would rather just not deal with it.
Feel like you are looking at this with Tunnel Vision.

People need to see the big picture.
Hey this gun people have claimed can go off. Cool I should still be able to buy/shoot/carry it if I choose too.
Hey this car goes to fast and people have crashed and died in it.... seems like my choice if I get or have one....not to ban me from roads.
Hey this computer game is so addicting you will never leave your house again.... sounds like a choice for me...

IKON skydiving rigs have been banned in dropzones overseas cause of a fatality and I heard talks of it here possibly..... Ummmm people jumping out of an airplane should be able to choose what they want to do it in....not be grounded until they have to spend thousands on a new rig.

If people are following safety guidelines the only person they would have a chance at shooting is themselves.....so what's the reason to ban them. Add a 320 addendum to your multi page waiver form and call it a day.

Why is it my tunnel vision? Ranges would rather not have the issue when it's a known thing and i keep saying I've seen it.

The whole point is the range doesn't want to take that responsibility. They put it on the user, buy a new gun and as an ffl that should be good for you. They can choose a P365 or whatever hot stuff is out right now.

The tunnel vision IMO is on people who think other people should take on more risk because they are willing to take that risk. Not always the case. Ranges have boards and saftey commissions, under your description, rules shouldn't matter because everyone signs a waiver when they walk in the gate.

People are responsible and accountable. Ranges and whatever facilities have the right to choose what's allowed inside those facilities, ie; no steel cased ammo, no 50 Cal's etc, no humanoid targets or pictures.

In many cases it's a decision to avoid issues, which is understandable. I don't fault people for doing that because we do that too. Individuals like to think they should be allowed to do whatever they want whereever they want because they are their own main character. When I go into your business, I cannot point a gun at you even it its empty and you know its empty because it's just bad to do, but someone always says, well it's empty anyways, why not. You're too serious. We all have our own levels.

Would I like to run my P320? Yes. am i going to whine about the range not letting me? No. I'll shoot my Glock or M&P or whatever else because i want to practice more than I care about my Sig P320.

, the NYPD has used 12-pound trigger pulls for more than 100 years but will now be issuing guns with five-pound trigger pulls. The NYPD says the data speaks for itself.

Or do you mean about the video i cant find? Im not sure how to link to a deleted video that was on youtube discussing it. if you can let me know ill be happy to do that
I meant the court case you referenced where Sig was found to have tampered with evidence. That’s quite the accusation to make being twice removed from a video that might’ve existed but you can’t find, that references a case that may or may not have involved the “holster tampering” issue the video claimed it did. Given how wildly inaccurate most journalism (legacy and otherwise) is about things like court cases and scientific studies, I’m skeptical.

Why is it that all these accusations always seem to be backed by no evidence?

The funniest thing I’ve gotten out of this thread is that some ranges ban human silhouette targets. I’ve never heard of this or seen this, where is this happening? That is some raging-vegan-level policy lmao

Ill put on my detective hat and go through the lawsuits that have happened in other states like PA and Georgia and see if those are the ones specifically that were shown in the video, I understand your skeptical on the issue. I still have a 320 and have complete faith in it even with the issues it may or may not have so keep that in mind too. 🕵️‍♂️

Because they are mostly bogus. As a detective I see people lie constantly, dudes will lie about their own name right to you. When someone has a ND they will blame everything except themselves, it was the gun, the holster, the ammo etc. I used to buy into the hype and hysteria until I realized there was no real evidence and my friends still in the military love the M18 and don't have issues.

Bay Area has some very soft people... sucks to say but it's true. I worked at Twitter on Market street lol. Even in more masculine sports like shooting or motorsports, some of them bleed into it. They aren't mentally tough enough to handle the reality but they want to join in. It is what it is, that's why you get a target banned lol because it hurts their feelings.

You can't use people's pictures for obvious reasons.. It's not about being soft it's about optics and one would think common sense

This is where you are wrong.... It doesnt effect you but one day it might.... Not everyone has one/two or more other platforms they can just go run. Not everyone has the money to go buy a new gun. Some people have already sunk 1000's into their 320 set up so just saying go get a new gun is a terrible response.

You use the can't point a gun at me in my shop annology is very flawed.... If people are at a range and follwing safety rules other than their own leg.... who are they pointing guns at to endanger?

If you allow and support ranges that won't allow a 320 there might be a issue in the future where all striker fired or poloymer guns are banned. This isnt a steel case (fire) or 50BMG (weak backstop) issue.

This is right up there with ban EBikes.... people need to wear helmets.... Skateboards are dangerous ..... Cigarettes are bad....

This Country is about freedom and in CA where they already attach the 2nd as much as possible I surprised people are supportive of any gun restrictions.

I can pull video of people ND at the range since every lane has cameras and they will argue with the RM that the gun just went off and you can clearly see them pull the trigger in the video on slow mo..... Everyone "has been shooting for 20 years'" They will even argue after you show them video.

That wasnt an a ND.... Bro the camera has your eyes bugging out cause you were in such shock the gun went off when you pulled the trigger....

You have freedom on your own property... You don't have your freedom on my property, that's the difference.

I walk into your store, your rules.

The P320 is something I did sink a lot into. If people followed saftey rules and disarmed the firearm, its safe. You're just being a Karen right? To you it might seem flawed but tell me there aren't people that don't think this way.

You are going onto someone elses property to shoot firearms. They don't want liability issues on their property. You make it sound like its public land, go ahead and do your thing. This isn't about that. This is about a business that makes rules that makes sense to them and being allowed to do so on their property.

There's too many people who tend to think Freedom applies to everything including other people property, which isn't right.

I get baking like using an Obama or Trump image, I might even do that at my range as is just divisive and bordering on inciting political violence… but a silhouette target? Anything vaguely resembling a human? What next, ban any gun that’s ever been used in a military conflict?

They totally have the right to set their own rules, as dumb as they may be. We have the right to not support their business. It goes both ways. My shooting club doesn't have these baseless restrictions

Some ranges are strange but whatever. They don't want humanoid fine, i have other targets. how dare they inconvenience me!

Right, totally cool with that... that's what makes the country free..

Right and if I said no 320's cause they are bad I would expect people to mock me.
As a store who has and still sells 320's you are never going to get me to agree that ranges have a good justification for banning them and will continue to recommend people don't shoot at or support those places/matches ect.

I still havn't heard a single argument for other than the shooter of a 320, who is at risk at these ranges/matches?

I don't shoot a lot but watch a fair amount. If rules are followed that gun would never be pointed at anyone else.
