I’ve been trying to see what a Colt 1911 government model. Is going for in California. I’ve seen very few listed for sale. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on many factors, I'de say 600.00 to 700.00 plus...............And I really mean PLUS.

Asking prices do not denote actual value.
Only the buyer determines actual value and that's based on what the specific buyer is willing to pay.
Unsold guns are usually over-priced and remain unsold for that reason.
Sold guns are the best examples of actual market value at the moment.

Depends if you want a quick sale or maximize value? Colt 1911 Government was $900 brand new back in 2011. At least that's how much I paid at the time. I can't see how any gray market example would sell for lower than $1,000+ unless it was pretty beat with high round count and needs work done to it.

If you have one NIB or lightly used, list it high and lower the pricing as you see fit.
