CRPA Dinner - Lots of Prizes

We are hosting a CRPA Dinner at the Compton Hunting and Fishing Club. Yeah - it is barely in Compton, and people wonder about us until they visit. We host the biggest net to gross FNRA Dinners in the country and hope to make lots of money for the CRPA at this event. We donate the food, facilities and staff so it is pure donation to the CRPA. There will be games and raffles with about a dozen firearms up for grabs as well as other prizes.

It is on September 14, from 2 PM to 8 PM, though such events tend to run long. It is a Spaghetti Dinner, with a huge salad bar and dessert. (We wanted to do our usual smoked tritip or brisket but the CRPA was already set for spaghetti, like their other dinners. Maybe next year, they will let us do our thing...if you have ever attended a FRNA dinner at the club, you know what I am talking about!) No one leaves our club hungry!

We are located at the end of a little road, backed up against the 710 freeway and a huge field of Edison towers (south property line is the border of Compton and Long Beach.) Near the intersection of the 91 and 710 freeways. I have attached some pix of previous events. We have never had an issue at an event.

I've heard or read many statements from folks that they support the CRPA and not the NRA...well here is a chance to do that.....
 
Here are a couple pictures from our Fish Fry this year - we served over 1000 meals that day. I dipped and breaded fish fillets all day....it was like a small town festival, here in So Cal.

Change - the time is from 4:30 for drinks and games with dinner at 6 PM. I hope to meet many of you there!
 
We had a very good turnout - around 100 People, I think. I was too busy in the kitchen to check the actual headcount. Everyone loved the food. Maria from CRPA was very pleased. Hopefully, it raised a good amount of money for the CRPA. Thanks to all who did come out!
 
We raised over $50,000 for the CRPA at our dinner! Unfortunately, someone brought COVID along with them as at least 4 of us who worked the dinner are down with it. I am starting to feel a bit better but Tuesday was rough.
