Was thinking about one and am not really following all the legal developments around braces, stocks or whatever else they call them.

Is the SMC p320 chassis the only 9mm chassis that complies with current CA law?

My understanding is no second grip and no shroud. But I admit I am not in the weeds enough to know what the current options are.
 
Yeah, I am just uncertain which chassis and firearms comply. I am not the hugest Sig fan, so looking to see if anything else works. Although I suppose the reason Sigs are popular is the FCU is serialized so changing out the chassis is possible.
 
According to the legal advice provided by our lawyer Reno May, the strike SMC for p320 and recover tactical 20/20 brace for glock are CA legal (minus any potential shroud or second handgrip attachments).

Look up his videos on youtube for more info. :cool:

I think a B&T USW-G chassis might also be ok too if you swap out the stock for a brace? But that’s extra gucci costly. Ergonomics from shorter length of pull seem to be a common complaint for these systems; I haven’t tried any and YMMV.

You can probably find a recover tactical 20/20 brace to slap on your glock on GAFS for ~$50. Low cost of entry to see if you hate the LOP or not.

I saw the Reno May video on the Strike. But I think it was an older one and the law is always in a bit of flux (I just wish it allowed the flux)
