cutaway slides showing safety disengagement?

Has anyone ever seen cutaway slides, specifically relating this to the 320 situation?
It would be expensive to buy all the slides, but I think it would be very interesting to have cut-away examples of all the common striker-fired pistols.
That way we could actually see the relationship and timing of all the moving pieces.
Stuff can be modeled, but models don't always represent what comes out the end of the production line.
Of course, models and even cut-aways don't show what people do in the attempt to "improve" their pistol.
Anyone else think that would be useful?

Yep, removing pre travel is essentially pulling the trigger which in turn begins the process of disengaging the internal safeties in preparation of firing. All of the videos I have seen causing UDs involve pulling the trigger beyond the wall (the point where all internal safeties are disengaged) and then jiggling the slide to cause the striker to slip off of the sear.

I don't understand why more people in the gun community don't understand this.
I do understand that a LOT of people really don't understand firearms. Or reloading. The stories I could tell about stuff I've seen. Or working on their motorcycle - I could write a book.

Because they want their $400 cake and they want to eat it too.
Everybody wants their striker fired pistol trigger to feel like a tuned 1911/2011 without the cost of actually purchasing a properly fitted 1911/2011.
Dumb people are surprised when they defeat a bunch of safety features and then their gun is unsafe.
Smart people either accept that their gun is now unsafe and take personal responsibility or they don't defeat safeties.

When all the investigations and reports are complete, it will all boil down to this^

what does this mean? people are replicating issue with newly purchased 320s
They are proving nothing other than moving the trigger past the wall to the point where the sear is barely in contact with the striker and all internal safeties have been disengaged by the pre-travel of the trigger, the striker can slip off the sear when the slide is jiggled. This has been replicated on all popular striker-fired pistols, not just the 320.

Our discussion is regarding the Gray Guns video I linked above. The gunsmith points out that any attempt to reduce pre-travel on the 320 advances the trigger bar which then disengages the striker safety and therefore it is a very bad thing to do.

Gray Guns has put together a series of videos testing every possible way to cause a UD besides advancing the trigger. There's an image out there where they strapped one to a sawzall to shake it. They are going to post the videos after the AF completes its investigation of the Airman's death.

IMHO the situation has become somewhat hysterical. A guy on another forum alleges that he saw a P320 drop the striker without touching the trigger. I would only believe that if I saw a brand new p320 removed from an unopened case and box, then demonstrated. People are going for attention and clicks. Too many people have screwed with their pistols, too. I fully agree with AR15barrels above. People love to tinker with stuff, and that's great. Get knowledge - but also be willing to accept that all learning experiences are not positive, sometimes they are costly. If something is changed, and it affects function, it's no longer the manufacturer's issue.

If a P320 has a manual thumb safety, doesnt that prevent the trigger from pretravel thus preventing the ability for the sear to slip if the slide is jiggled as shown in many viral online videos? I dont think i've seen any of those "slide jiggle" videos with a manual safety engaged.
