Eeeeeeh none of that stuff tickles my fancy. I hate gaudy stuff in my cars, watches, guns, House decor, etc. Stainless and two tone are generally deal breakers for me on guns; Your work crew sounds like a bunch of out of touch boomers who think a vintage 1911 is the pinnacle of firearm technology…So I’ve literally had to listen to dudes argue about this for triple digit hours of my life at work. Best I can tell here’s a list of bbq gun requirements but there’s flexibility; like you can mix and match as long as you meet multiple of them:
- two tone metal
*may also need gold controls or some form of contrast
- fancy aftermarket finish
- aftermarket grips a must, the fancier materials the better
- engraving not required but helpful
- engraved grips okay but high end materials better.
- polished stainless < two tone < nickel or black nickel< super deep blue and engraving.
This is by no means a complete list. This just starts the argument
