Forced to raise raise price on Echelons

Springfield Armory has placed a MAP on the Echelon, effective immediately. Pricing will go up. We will continue to honor our sale prices if asked by customers, but moving forward, we will be priced at MAP.

Just confirming, you only have the 4.5" non-comp version to purchase, correct? No 4" version (comped or not) yet and won't until January or February?

What’s the new MAP; if not on sale?

Doesn't MAP affect advertised pricing? It has no bearing on what you actually sell the gun for in the store.
Yep. This why any other online store makes you "add to cart" whenever they sell below MAP.

Let’s put the question another way, if one of us shows up in store and say code word (like R66 Rules!), are you allowed to sale for “Friends & Family” price?

Typically yes, however I have seen manufacturers up their wholesale pricing to combat this.

A very good reason to NOT purchase products made by any company that does this. It's truly anti-capitalistic which I counter by purchasing products from other manufacturers.

It’s your choice and you vote with your money. The same analogy goes for TV, switch and don’t watch.

Everybody in survival mode right now and I personally appreciate Scott being honest with us and tells it as it is without any BS. Just my two cents.

Just thought I would drop in what AI has to say about MAP and I tend to agree.

MAP price means Minimum Advertised Price, the lowest price a manufacturer allows retailers to show in advertisements (online, print, etc.) to protect brand image, prevent price wars, and ensure fair competition, though retailers can often sell it for less in the actual cart or checkout. It's a common policy, especially for branded goods, to maintain consistent customer experience and perceived product value across different sellers.
