I just uploaded a new video on comparing a Glock 43X with an Omega Comp against a Glock 19 with a Radian Ramjet.


TLDR for those that would rather read about it than watch the comparison:

By no means are these specific/scientific results. This is based on observation and what was actually observed while shooting.

This is a viewer requested video, I wouldn't have thought to make. It seems a lot of folks wonder how much difference there really is between a compensated slimline vs. a compensated "duty-size" Glock. After running them side by side, here’s what stood out:
  • Both comps work — they noticeably cut down muzzle rise and keep the guns flatter.
  • G19 wins on control (big surprise I know) — bigger frame, heavier slide, optic, and weapon light all likely help tame recoil more effectively.
  • 43X still benefits — the Omega Comp does its job, but you’re not going to beat physics. The lighter/slimmer platform just won’t soak up recoil like the 19.
  • I also had the Antimatter Micro Wing on the 43X, which helped, but the 19 still felt smoother overall.

Bottom line: the 43X + comp is a solid EDC option with reduced recoil/muzzle flip, but if you want maximum control, the G19 setup still comes out ahead.

Anyone else compared a slimline with a comp to a full size frame with a comp?
