Gen 6 Glocks

There’s a member here who also asked Glock at Shot Show about the Gen 6 coming to CA and Glock said they had something in the works. Not exactly a confirmation, but what else could they be eluding to?

Im with you on the external safeties however showsystem vp9 pdp all dont have thumb safeties. So glock could do a disconnect and lci.
 
I took a Glock Armorer class last month. The sales rep for the CA market was there. He said he can’t give details but Glock is not abandoning us and has something in the works to come to the roster. He said they are hoping for this summer but nothing more definitive.

Lame though that we can’t buy parts direct from Glock any more. They’re still working on that as well.
 
Theyre nice. The trigger is way better and the reset is soo nice. I almost bought a g45 two weeks ago. I might pick it up this week. 🇺🇲

There's enough buzz that we don't really need your hopes at this point. The Gen 6 is coming to CA, whether people want to believe it or not. It's just a matter of when, not if.

I don't really care because I'd rather have an M&P, Canik, or 2011. Live Free Armory said during Shotshow that they are working on a CA-compliant 2011 in the $1k range. Canik said they are working on other CA-compliant models. S&W keeps adding more CA models.

It's really not that hard to make a gun with a CLI and MDM. These features are not new; they've been around since the beginning of semi-auto pistol design (Luger P08 and Browning Hi Power). Most guns already have some form of manual safety, be it a thumb safety or trigger safety lever. It should be no surprise that Glock would be able to get a new model on the roster. It's a foregone conclusion. With microstamping out of the way, it's not hard at all for manufacturers to be CA-compliant.

The microstamping requirement is being reintroduced in 2028

The Gen6 17 is the new 47, so yes, Gen6 19 and 17 slides should have no problem being swapped similar to how a Gen5 19 slide can be swapped on a 47 and vice versa. They both use the same RSA.

thanks for the explanation! I wish I knew this before buying a Glock 49
 
Just more justification to add a 19 and 17 Gen6 when they become available. I want to say there is a video circulating that also shows a Gen5 slide will work on a Gen6 frame. The caveat being they were using the Radian ramjet and Radian RSA. The double spring RSA of the Gen5 will not allow the slide to fit on the Gen6 frame.

He's at least like...10 for 15. Hard to look through reddit since all his old names have been banned, but he called Tisas, Walther, M&P, and I'm sure more that I'm forgetting. He said CZs and Berettas were coming, but they changed their minds later.

I picked up my Gen 6 today. I have a difficult time with patience. But I still do believe the gen 6 is coming in July.
