Gideon Omega mounted on M&P 2.0

I have mounted a Gideon Omega on my M&P 2.0. I used the type one plate that came in the M&P kit. It’s for RMR type foot prints. The Omega being a “clone” of the SRO, thought it should fit.

Well it fits, with a gap in the front. None of the other plates work .

What are your thoughts on this? Is it good to go? Or will the optic fly off and bounce off my face or ???

Is there a better solution?
