Hi all,

Not much of a poster on forums, but frequent the thread to keep up to date on rules and updates to laws in CA. Had my CG.net account since 2012, but it looks bleak over there. Hopefully all the legacy information from calguns is salvaged or rebuilt here.

Thanks for creating a new site. Needed a place to buy and sell stuff again lol.
 
This new site is great, and I think its potential for continued growth is huge.

Although CalGuns is still super glitchy, it is in fact still working most of the time (at least for me), and I would highly recommend posting items for sale on both sites.

Time will tell, but currently, due to its overall size/viewership, you are still going to reach more potential buyers on CalGuns. I’ve posted one gun and some powder for sale on both within the last six or so months, and have sold both via CalGuns. I got interest from potential buyers from both sites, but more so with CalGuns. My recommendation would be to exchange phone numbers with the other party quickly on CalGuns so you are not solely reliant on their messaging system for contact.
 
I actually posted my listing on Calguns last night. It was slow, but everything was working. I tried to access my listing today and it's 504'd ever since, so I found my way here.

I always had great experiences buying and selling on Calguns, so hopefully the members over there make their way to this site and use both as well. Thanks for the tip on the messaging alternative.

Pretty bummed what's become of Calguns. Have been less active since around 21-22, so didn't realize the downfall. It was an one-stop spot for anything and everything CA firearms related.
