You can use a hair dryer no worries, but it didn't really help me get my grip on. The needle-nose were the secret to a relatively painless install and avoided heat or Windex, which I didn't like the thought of at all.
I agree, just buy another one and try that first.

Looking like this will be the solution. But I'm going to try stretching first.

My main gripe with the G43/43X/48’s I had was the slick grip. I put Talon grips on all of them or sometimes just a strip of skateboard tape on the front strap.
