I would hope that those who support the second amendment are equally supportive of all the other rights we hold as citizens. I'm not keen on the idea that, just because the government can already easily access private information through existing means, it means we should be okay with them having an easier time with more capabilities and less oversight.

The idea of government sidestepping the need for warrants by buying up data in bulk from private data brokers is already gross enough, and Flock cameras are just another step in the direction of normalizing what should not be normal. This sort of perception of what's normal is measured over years, if not decades, kind of like how some Californians are already accustomed to the crap we have to jump through with relation to gun ownership. How many times have you heard people talk about "large capacity magazines" when describing normal magazines? Imagine what the average person thinks about who accesses their private information. ToS, privacy settings, download this app for a trivial incentive! We get inundated with attempts from all directions to have us give up everything about our lives, to the point that it feels meaningless to oppose and overwhelming to follow along -- just like how our lovely state overwhelms us with all the confusing legislation it keeps passing to erode gun ownership.

Not to mention that what constitutes crime or undesirable behavior can change depending on the mood of whatever administration is in place. If anything, I think either party in this country is two sides of the same coin with different flavors of BS, but that's neither here nor there.

I wish I felt better getting that off my chest, but I just feel disheartened. Guess I'll plan my next range trip to have something to look forward to.

I think you’re getting ahead of yourself and simply assuming a heck of a lot. I appreciate your passion but my faith in Jesus is very important to me. That’s why I DO HELP the poor , addicts, homeless and simply those in need, which in reality is each and every one of us. We’re all broken in some way. The Church , at least the one I go to is very involved in helping those that scripture says to help. I’ve been homeless, so now I try to serve the homeless. The Govt, just squanders our taxes

That’s why I DO HELP the poor , addicts, homeless and simply those in need, which in reality is each and every one of us. We’re all broken in some way. The Church , at least the one I go to is very involved in helping those that scripture says to help. I’ve been homeless, so now I try to serve the homeless.
