H&K VP9x anyone?

I'm not sure of the impact in 10 round mag country. I guess if are tired of the hand dangling off the end of the grip...yes. I would like to try a 19x/g45 perhaps for the extra grip area.

Did they go back to the finger bumps?

edit: Looked like finger bumps in the posted pic but found another pic elsewhere, no finger bumps.

Looks like an AI image. The slide scallop is wonky and it does have finger grooves. The a1s did get rid of those entirely.

HK USA has a model listing on the VP9X page for a CA variant:

VP9A1 X, OR, 9MM, 2-10RD MAGS (CA COMPLIANT)

It’s not on the roster yet. CA-compliant just means 10 round mags usually (non-roster guns will have this label sometimes). Or they’re being premature.

At least they recognize it on their official website. Cc9 had 81000552 sku show up in bunch of websites since like Feb of this year but never on HK USA Website. So I think it's def coming soon

Right, not on roster yet, but it’s imminent. The CA compliant designation is more than just the 10-round mags; it means it also has the LCI and mag disco. It’s sure to be approved since it’s just combining the F lower and K upper (both of which come from pistols that are already approved).

“CA-compliant” appears on non-rostered guns. Usually no threaded barrel (this also applies to LEO guns), 10 round mag. Being on the roster means it has the compliant LCI and mag disco unless grandfathered in (a lot of roster guns have neither LCI nor mag disco), not a “CA-compliant” label. The roster is always the source of truth.

CA compliance with threaded barrels and magazine capacity also comes into play for interstate, intrafamilial transfers and new resident imports.

Fair enough. In this case we’re talking about a new pistol marketed directly by the manufacturer as CA compliant, which means more than just 10-round capacity, and LEO only doesn’t apply. It does also check all the other boxes with regard to CA roster compliance. HK anticipates approval in short order and listings for the CA approved VP9 X are being staged accordingly by retailers.

Listings on gun genie are good examples of the different listings for standard models vs models that meet various compliance requirements for different states. The listing for the CA version (which is still pending roster approval) is distinct from the listing that meets 10-round capacity limitations in other states that don’t require the other CA features.
