How to delete messages?

I tried to delete/ remove old messages but cannot find the function button for that. Is that possible? Thanks in advance for your help.

In the DM there's a button to Leave the conversation.

This should be changed. “Leave” isn’t clear that it will delete the message and clear up total space used in messages

This doesn't delete the conversation, until both people leave the conversation.

If you and another person come to an agreement. The other person has a copy of the conversation. Once they leave, it's deleted. There's a record of the person leaving, etc. It's to keep things transparent between users. If you delete the conversation, it shouldn't delete the other party's messages.

If I changed the term to Delete, that wouldn't be accurate.

Or you can upgrade. There's always a couple of ways to do things here.
