Not been able to shoot pistol for most of the year, so I will suck when I get back to it.
My main range has a no holster draw and also slow fire only rule. What I found very helpful for ranges line that is to practice your gun presentation and then fire the first round rapidly. Basically bring the gun back to your body in the position where it will be if you draw from a holster, put your support hand where it will be as if you are drawing from a holster. Then do the gun presentation and shoot when you are on target, try and do it quickly. This way you practice one of the most important steps of a holster draw, also you train to point the firearm on target. Don’t take forever the get sights/dot on target, but focus on speed and on target presentation. This is a great exercise when you are limited by range rules.
