I knew a dude who owned an M3 grease gun. I have never shot another full auto as controllable as that in my life. Also those things are deceptively heavy for what they are.

I saw this in MSM but the only charges brought against him were “Assault” weapon charges yet nothing about threats.

Seems like they just red flagged him and that’s that. If he wasn’t a firearms possessor, nothing would have really came from initial threats it seems.

Seems like a classic case of a local government going fishing against someone who says mean words they don't like. But this is in the political no man's land where few people will defend him, because he is both a "gun nut" and "railed against local cops". If you read the article I linked you’d see that’s wrong. This guy was going crazy and making violent real threats to people in a case he was involved in. Police were justified. This guy was days away from murder

Maybe. He comes off as a bitter and angry old man, begrudging some family court thing, talking a bunch of crap on the internet. I don't see any mention of convincing evidence of a real, let alone imminent, attack. The only non-gun charge is for an "attempted threat" that he made 6 weeks before his arrest (July 10-August 24), and that they had to downgrade from an actual threat due to lack of evidence,. Also all the alleged "sophistication of planning" was creating burner emails and alt accounts on forums, because he probably kept getting blocked and banned.
I'm not saying he's a great guy, but based on my current knowledge I really don't see this as the police stopping some imminent threat, but rather taking someone down who talked a lot of crap to their colleagues.
