Pics HUNTING PHOTOS THREAD

I started this thread since there wasn’t a hunting photos threads started yet on caguns; hoping others would join in like on Calguns. “Sigh” maybe with time…. Hey, at least we have the party started. Thanks to everyone who have joined in so far for joining in by the way.

Participation is probably low because hunting seasons are pretty much over, except maybe for pigs. Speaking of which, here's a pig I took in Texas, with a circa 1912 Winchester 94 chambered in 25-35:

I would really like a wild pig, but don’t know anyone with private land. So, I’ve been working public land; but no luck. I hear they don’t stay within the BLM area; they are transient.

Yeh, well, doesn’t necessarily have to be limited to recent or current season photos. We could kind of make this the hunters lounging area; kind of vibe.

Hunting pressure pushes them onto private lands. Your best bet is to hunt on a military installation If you know someone with access.

I’d take you because I have base privileges but I haven’t hunted pig in over 30 years and don’t know what I’m doing.

Isn’t this the place out in the Central Valley area? They hosted a duck shoot in December 2024?
Yes, it’s near Ione, about an hour drive from Sacramento and Stockton. I’m a member and shoot sporting clays at least once a month there. It’s also the home field for my kids youth shotgun league during sporting clays season.

Our biggest kill of the year, drove about 1.5 miles out from civilization to this remote jungle, hiked about 10 yards on all flat land, endured california's harshest 80° day for what felt like a whole 15 minutes, only had a tri tip sandwich and a bottle of pop on this excursion...this monster was tough...pushing a pound and two ounces lol. Guys be safe out there.

Unfortunately I don’t. Why military installation compared to someone’s personal private land?

What is that? Kind of blurry?

I hear their ducks are raised by them?
