I will ask in person...I've seen a couple so far that actually state that's what they do regarding SSE's (couple of them are here on this forum). Thanks Wolkenflieger!

With the possibility that the 11% excise tax be overturned around the corner, Newsom might end up laughing at you for having paid it. Alternatively, the court could order refunds to be issued to sellers, since it is imposed as a seller’s tax, and they get to keep that money.
