I want to sell my gun

its basically both. He made a choice and no longer has the resources to get the other thing. The item that he also purchased lost both monetary and sentimental value.
Technically he would have to lose on gains for it to be an opportunity cost, but besides monetary gains 22wmr may be slightly funner than 22lr but still pretty weak. Every option here is sunk cost but isn't that most of shooting? literally pumping lead into the side of a hill

I love this

Turning $$ into noise!

This is a start down a very expensive path. I can’t speak for anyone else but my journey started with a 5.7, 9mm, 40mm, 357, 45mm, 22LR, and shotgun. Took a lot of wheeling and dealing, and time to cut my losses (about $1k), just to figure out that I much prefer a simpler setup.

A little back story, I originally thought that having all sorts of ammo would be a good thing because when SHTF then I can always find ammo and I have all sorts of way to protect myself and my family. Then I realize that with all that comes with all the added expenses of different holsters and accessories, so I adapted to the KISS mentality. Took me a few years but I was finally able to unload my collection to just a “do-it-all” handgun and a PCC that shares the same magazine and ammo.
That's awesome and my (far in the future) ultimate goal.

What caliber and which guns did you end up with?

I have 3 possible setups where I have a handgun, and a rifle that shoots the same ammo.

.357, .45LC, and 9mm.

The problem is I love them all and will find it hard to get rid of any of them if rhe time comes to pare down my collection!

I went with 9mm. Easy to find and plenty of supply.

I just bought the hammerli tac r1 22c, and to be honest I like it, but I just seen his big brother and it's not the regular ar 15 but the tippmann m4 22 mag elite and I just think it's so much cooler but I just got this gun in like a week and a half ago. Idk chat what I should do. I haven't even shot it yet. And I paid 777.11 after tax and before 599 I wouldn't even be able to sell it for that id basically be loosing 170 right out the back if it even sells for 600. Help.
wtf is chat? You're not a streamer.....

Best decision I made was getting a membership at a range with free rentals.

Turns out that handling and shooting firearms gives you a good idea of what you might want to invest in. "Invest" lol.

Monday I went into transfer three 1903 receivers. I get there and I’m behind a guy who’s buying a bunch of other RTI rifles. He shows some interest in my receivers and I’m like I only want to build two of them, but I got a great deal on all three. If you want to right now before I do the transfer by one of them, I will give you a great price.

He says he just bought three rifles and he’s gotta watch his money and maybe in two months. I said that’s fine. I’ll just leave it here for two months. Pay me before you come get it. He says no I don’t think so.

The next morning
