I wouldn't buy a p320 for $50. I value knowing every gun i own that i holster will not go off on its own.

SIG engineers probably already have fix but just not publicize or rolling it out. By doing so would admit P320 had a problem, then the land slide law suits. At the right time, SIG probably will advertise some trigger upgrade in the future and will bundle the fix with it.

I'm not a patent attorney but I saw this on X. Looks like Sig redesigned their striker assembly in 2020. According to the abstract it was to stop the striker from slipping due to an "impulse". Maybe smarter people than be can explain if this is what it looks like; they quietly redesigned the striker.

Have there been any verified incidents of the manual safety CA models going off that are still in stock FCU configuration? Most of the ones I see are cops bumping their holster with something or that viral training class video where it turned out he shaved the trigger a bunch. Genuinely curious, by no means a Sig rider but my Legion is my best shooter by far. It's my nightstand gun (pointed at the wall of course)

There are incidents of M17/18 discharging without a trigger pull.

The manual safety only stops the rearward travel of the trigger. It does not stop striker travel.

The NY trigger, which wasn't a trigger but a plastic spring, wasn't to address a design fault.

I would hope that senior members of the CA firearms community could be more honest in the retellings of history.

The New York “Trigger” was mandated by the NYPD at the time because their Department was switching from issued revolvers with a DA of 12lbs (ish) and their fearless leaders didn’t think a 5.5 lbs trigger pull was safe for street officers as they envisioned full scale negligent discharges moving from revolver to semi auto.

With the 12lbs trigger pull, cops were very laxed on the finger off the trigger until ready to fire with their revolvers.

I didn’t state that, another member did. I was just attesting to the fact that Glock did not originally roll out without flaws and design changes to fix them.

I would 100% trust my life to a Glock Gen 2 in 9mm or newer Gens.

can’t tell if your serious or trolling. Everything is documented. The reason why youngsters do not know is because Glock took care of them and the internet wasn’t a thing.
