Lost my wallet and the license with it.
Anything I need to pay attention to before asking for replacement? Specific question is - I took a quick look at the application for replacement and they seem to be asking for the license number. And I have no idea what is it. I realize that I should've taken the picture, but here we are...
Anybody had an experience with this?

Wow!! That sucks, I never lost mine, however I will take a picture of mine now. So you can’t carry your firearm until you get a new one? I thought the license number was the same as your drivers license number. Maybe not

The license # is just your DL/ID #. Idk if they still are but at one point they were requiring a police report to get replacement.

Edit, still says that on their website.

Not sure about LA, but for OCSD we use the CCW pro portal. If you have a portal for where you upload documents, start there. Same way you’d renew..

It's illegal to carry without having the permit on you.

This can vary by agency, but I just renewed my permit and had to ask them a couple months ago and they told me to use my ID #.

They should be able to identify your permit using either as they’re both unique to you.

I believe your CCW license number can be retrieved from the permit application website. Your application number is your CCW license number, at least my IA is that way.

File police report for lost wallet. Then apply for replacement . Application requires police report number.
