One of the misconceptions/marketing department selling points about caliber conversions is that it only takes "x amount of time" which is usually a lie. Yeah, the actual mechanical changeover may be relatively quick, however the gun then needs to be rezeroed (or at minimum zero needs to be reconfirmed) which takes time, and if you factor in the time it took for you to earn the money to drive to and from the range and pay for the ammo to rezero, etc..... That caliber conversion actually took hours and hours.

This is why most people with guns that have changeable barrels end up leaving one barrel in the gun most of the time.
If you like two different calibers enough that you want to shoot them both, you get another host gun for that 2nd cartridge and then you can leave a scope zeroed on that 2nd gun for the 2nd cartridge.

If you follow "behindtheguncounter" on IG, he does the "hard truths" thing with the guy nailing a proclamation to the front door with the crowd watching, and one of those was something along the lines of "nobody actually buys the extra parts to take advantage of modular systems, and even those who do won't ever change them out". From what I've personally witnessed, that's been more true than not.

I don't have IG but I have barrelled a few receivers with 2-3 different caliber barrels and the owners have told me they tried each barrel and then stuck with one of them until it was shot out.
Then they had me spin up a new barrel to replace the one that they wore out.
