This was cross posted on the Reddit site. I do like the shirts we did make for awhile

Straight up, I failed miserably the last time I tried to launch shirts. I tried to guess what people wanted, and it didn't land. This time, I’m doing what I should have done from the start: asking the sub. I finally found a designer who can execute, but we want to make sure we’re putting out stuff you actually want to wear.

What we’re looking for:

• CA 2A Memes: The struggle is real here, might as well laugh about it.
• Slogans: Catchy, pro-2A, or CA-specific one-liners.
• Lifestyle: Clean, aesthetic designs that fit the vibe.

The Deal:

Drop an idea in the comments. If your concept gets picked and turned into a design, I’ll hook you up with a free shirt and sticker pack when we print them.

Updates on the Sport:

While I’m here, we’re officially a founding member with PCSL now and are sponsoring more Level II USPSA and local matches this year. We’re trying to put money back into the space to help it grow and make it more accessible.

Updates on the site:

We had to make some changes recently because everyone is adjusting to AB-1263. We’ve also made some changes to make accounts clearly visible if they don’t actively participate to reduce scams.

Thanks for the support. All these things will help us continue to offer the site for free and add new features.

I do not want any snarky slogans or memes on a shirt, and only want a black shirt. "Guns" is right I n the name of the site.

Keep it clean and simple as a way to support the site and let people know it exists.

Also, make sure the fonts used are sans serif and legible...and no Comic Sans. Logos should be clean and simple, as overly busy logos look like a blob when printed on a shirt.

If you have a shirt template and your new logo handy I can make a design or two for free. I'm an artist by profession.

Maybe something like this. And for humor you could use a play on the old chestnut: "Guns don't kill people, bears kill people."

Would need to swap the location of the patches and convert the American flag patch to the reverse style per regs.

Just some ideas for you to tinker with.

Goldens I saw that you updated the pic. This one is much better and I agree with your swapping patches idea (with right flag on right, per regs and flag etiquette). Just having the site name would be good if something like this is chosen, "CaGuns.net"

Also, if you could have a way for people to link/badge/recognize users buying forum merchandise in lieu of straight donating, I think it would improve sales of forum merchandise. Bake some or all of the monthly minimal donation amount if needed. So people buying merchandise gets same recognition as those just donating the minimal monthly.
(I don't know if something like this is already in place, but if not, then it's just an opinion/ suggestion.)

Promoting a pic posing with "You're Finger On The trigger"?

I don't like that at all. I don't ever like seeing that. Promotes poor gun safety.

Heres what chatgpt made in the description I gave . If you put it bigly on one side of a shirt, It might appeal foreign country tourists though, as you see similar shirts sold at tourist gift shops. Maybe at spencers in a mall or those 3 for $10 tshirt shops, too. Lol.

Everyone is an art critic, Matt. Considering it took four minutes to produce it with AI, it would only take a moment to put the bear's toe (not finger) a little higher on the lower receiver.

Keep in mind the purpose of website swag is to distribute images that catch peoples attention so they remember to check out the website, it's all marketing.

PSHHHHH If they were tough they wouldn't be extirpated! At this point we should stick a black bear on there, apparently the NW corner of the state has the highest concentration of black bears in the world
