Magazine loader considered a gun part?

Bought a magazine loader at Turners and had to fill out paperwork like it was a gun part. Really?

From the text of AB 1263:

(c) “Firearm accessory” means an attachment or device designed or adapted to be inserted into, affixed onto, or used in conjunction with a firearm that is designed, intended, or functions to increase a firearm’s rate of fire or to increase the speed at which a person may reload a firearm or replace the magazine

Turner's is probably just playing it safe to try to abide by the dumb law.

Bass Pro Shop considers MagPul's magazine pulls to be gun parts that require signing the AW paperwork. This means they're kept behind the gun counter and you have to pull a number and wait in line in order to buy them.
