Modernizing the M9

Top to bottom:
CAL Inox, only change is dumping those trash rubber grips
CAL M9A1 LOK grips
LTT Elite G
XI SAO
and bonus 80x

Shoot the out of them and the break in incredibly well. Never go under 14lb springs if you’re going to shoot random ammo. WC and LTT are the kings of Beretta. WC has mostly stopped but I still want to get my hands on one. LTT trigger job in a bag is all you need. Optics are dog even with the LTT cuts. Though they are better than the factory Beretta cut and plates. I die a little inside every time I see 94x posts. I will have a few of those.

In CA the best combo right now requires two pistols. M9A1 and a brigadier. You drop all the LTT stuff into the M9A1 frame and use the brigadier slide with good night sights. G Convert if you want a decocker only.

The surplus 84’s and 85’s not being available here in CA is a F-ing crime against god.

Am I crazy or is the M9 pretty hard to rack the slide? I have the LTT guide rod and spring and it's probably twice the effort to rack as my P226 is. Also if you don't close the slide hard it will stick a bit and you have to smack it all the way forward. I can't remember the M9's in the Navy anymore but they were so shot out they were like butter lol 100k+ rounds

Go back to the plastic rod and spring. Make sure the locking block is not sticking. Lube the block.

I put CLP all over the barrel, is there some way to lube the locking block I am not understanding

Barrel upside down, hit the wings and the pin with lube rack the out of it, if the pin isn’t shiny hit it with lube again.

I like the LOK grips more, but I also think that the vertex frame is the lesser frame and put wrap around grips on them. The LTT are not that aggressive.

If you have the safety on while you slowly close the slide it will stick right at the end as the hammer gets hung up and then slams forward. If you have the safety off the hammer will stay back and this won't happen.

You are right, if you have one that has been shot to , you notice this stuff less and less.

I just got my hands on that exact combo, brig slide and m9 frame. Was actually planning to get it cut by LTT. It's dog though, you say?

Still sits high even after you modify the safety. The 92 isn’t really a good gun for dots. I’ve done the factory plate, the Dhal plates, buddy had his slide cut with the new low cut and it was better, but still wasn’t like modern slides with dots.

Wasn’t for me, but you should go for it. Worst case sell the slide.

Same cut I have on my xi, it’s not ideal at all.
