Modernizing the M9

that covers anything i’m going to want sight wise.
I took the left grip off and the slide was easier to rack. Re installed it carefully and it looks more flush now. Still stiff overall but now easier to rack the slide more like normal

I changed the slide to 92x, added the extended mag release, added wilson combat basepads for my mags, thin bakelite grips.
It shoots well and air-rackable

you’re going to need to slightly file/sand the grips. The rest is most likely new gun to be broken in.

I paid for the slide like that almost as much as for the gun itself

Not the full works… but changed out the grips for thin LTT Langdon Tactical grips, that plus the Wilson combat short reach trigger transform the gun when you have smaller hands. It’s a big gun OEM.

Also added the LTT recoil spring and guide rod, WC hammer and hammer spring.
We have a 92FS in my shop, looking at these upgrades I might just buy it for myself to be on this kind of level🧐

Where can one get a 92x slide these days?

Performance slides are brigadier thickness how about your 92x?
No idea tbh. I sold original slide a while back and never thought to check. I would guess it is, how else it got dovetail front sight.

They pop up on ebay for like 700 all the time LOL. Every time I think about getting another 92 I try to find an OR slide and then stop. Beretta used to make slides to sell but supposedly they stopped in order to keep up with their regular production.

Yea, I paid $550 OTD. Optics planet and Midwest have them from time to time, a bit cheaper. Vertec slides, I believe, also have dovetail front sight and can be scored for around $350
F- me those are expensive i’ll just buy another complete pistol at those prices. Good to have a source at least.
