I wouldnt upgraded your 1.0. I had some cool slide work and the hyve tigger(which would catching its safty sometime if you didnt know the sweetpot) also some barrels/ slide combo it wedges on recoil acting like a false lockback. I had no issues on my oem slide with rival arms barrel then did have a iusse with the optic oem slide and also with a different oem slide i had all fancy like.

I have only held the XMacro, and it feels good in the hand, the grip is longer than I would prefer. There isn’t currently a P365 XL comped on the roster other than the Rose version which is significantly pricier than the others. Technically I’m not allowed to make any modifications to the handgun but swapping an OEM frame for another shouldn’t cause issues.
I’m the only one you should listen to. 🤣

I’ve qualified (in CoCo) with the same X-Macro with 2 different non-OEM grip modules. However, they’ve both been modules that Sig lists directly on their own site but still, I doubt that would matter. I’m getting ready to try out an ECM R11.

There’s really no issue with grip or frame modifications as they don’t affect the reliability of the gun and they’re not a serialized part (for X-Macro at least). The FCU drops in without any additional modification unless it’s something completely custom or requires removing the thumb safety. If you really want just purchase the OEM XL grip module. Notice on the back of your permit it says just says P365 and S/N.

Trigger or action work, aftermarket comps/porting cuts which often require tuning are a different story.

Nice, thanks for the confirmation.

That ECM is nice. I went Juggernaut. Have a couple of different size baseplates too

I have shot a G19 for decades. I have shot the small P365 for two years. Both are on my CCW. Got a P365 Macro a few months ago and really like it. It does not have a comp; I hated comps in the 2000s and my opinion hasn’t changed. Only have about 500 rounds through it so far. Thinking to swap out the G19 for the XMacro. I won’t sell my G19 as I reallly like it as well. Time will tell if P365 hold up as well as Glocks.

Out of curiosity, why did you qualify with two different frames? Was it two different serialized FCUs you qualified with?

First qualification with one frame then a modification to remove a pistol (Glock 26) with a different one. If you modify 1 pistol you have to requalify with all of them. Now, I’m scheduled for a red dot and night qual for which I’ll likely use a different frame.

I'm a Springfield fan but I would probably not recommend the Hellcat Pro. I'd suggest the Echelon 4.0C over that every time. Not really much bigger (.5" longer, .25" taller and wider) with a much better trigger and no need to worry about plates to mount your optic.

I know that wasn't on your list but worth considering IMHO.

Out of the options you listed, I would go X-macro. I had a regular P365 and still have a shield plus for my CCW. But I found that I didn't like the compromise, in terms of shoot ability, due to their compact size. I ultimately modified by P365 to be the X-macro size. However, I would recommend talking a look at the M&P 2.0 Carry Comp if you can swing the price. Or a Staccato if you go it like that lol

I qualified with a CA P365 and an off roster with the Tyrant CNC grip module. They said they never had anyone qualify with 2 of the same firearm.

For what it's worth I own a P365 in every variant except fuse & I sold my Shield X & Hellcat Pro before they ever made it to my permit.

Hellcat Pro feels good in hand but is snappier than its competitors and has one of the worst triggers of any striker fired gun. Shield X, I just don't understand why anyone would choose it over the Shield Plus. All S&W had to do was add a rail to Shield Plus not make a bunch of other changes. P365, modularity is the selling point which can be fun but pricey.

Current Permit has the P365, had to remove my Shield Plus for the modularity.

I wish the county had the balls to say they don’t really care about mods. As it stands the rules are just vague enough to screw you over if they want to do so.

That being said I’m now firmly in the XMacro camp
