New glock “V” model, gen6, CA MOS leaked on GSSF prize list?

IIRC AB1127 allows for expedient addition to the roster if the pistols are "fixed". Meaning they won't have to go through the roster process. That should make it easier for the new Glocks to be added, IF they are "fixed" enough for CA that is.

That is for current Gen 3 to have fixes applied not new models

Great data-backed speculative analysis by JaredAF for what might be coming with the GSSF “leaked” gen6 models.

In summary, looking at Glock’s most recent releases (g17L gen5 MOS plastic dust cover, g47/g49 slide interchangeability), modular grip length patents, famed interop of all DS mags, and sharp consolidation of all model offerings simplifying manufacturing… Glock may be telegraphing a big focus on modularity for gen6.

More slide, grip, customization. And if their mechanically superior A-cut footprint makes MOS plates obsolete, the future of Glock looks pretty exciting to me. 🤞

So will we all be getting Glock Performance Triggers (GPT) in our new CA compliant model Vs? The GPTs are not “cruciform triggers”…

I guess we will just wait and see until Dec 2025 for the first V model rollout

Glock Performance Triggers will not fit in the Gen V models

So, based on your knowledge Glock will be actually making new pistols that will they will have to go through the entire roster process as normal?

I heard that supposedly Glock engineers had disassembled a Shadow Systems pistol to check out how they did the Magazine Disconnect Safety, lol.

This would require funding the education system and after school programs. If we could get a top tier education system, we could systematically change. This is what other countries have done. 😀
We already spend more per student nationally than most countries, yet results haven’t improved. Massive “silver bullet” spending—like what we saw in Kansas City and Newark—has produced little to show for it. Believing that education alone, without parents modeling and enforcing good behavior, will solve the problem is as unrealistic as believing we could deregulate CA gun laws simply by “getting rid” of criminals or gang members.

There’s no silver bullet, but to think investing in kids is a bad thing isn’t the answer either. It’s just a way to reduce the issue because there’s no other practical way to get rid of criminals systemically. You can see in places that make the investment, crime goes down and productivity goes up but it is reliant on the community and government to build up society.

Not trying to cherry-pick—these are just case studies showing what happens when large sums of money are poured into a district. The point isn’t to give up on kids; it’s that throwing money at an institution that’s inherently inefficient and built on one-size-fits-all solutions—our public education system—won’t fix the deeper issue. Discontinuing a huge line of reliable firearms because some people choose to illicitly convert them to full-auto doesn’t solve the underlying cause.

And speaking of cause and effect, it’s not controversial to note (and the research consistently supports this) that the single biggest factor in outcomes like these is the stability and quality of a child’s home life—especially the involvement of both parents, so it's not giving up on kids, it's trying to look together to see what the actual mechanism for positive change is!

Isn't the A cut just for the Aimpoint COA? It's great for if you want a COA, but I don't see them limiting everyone to one red dot.

Yes it does for the manufacturer. If this were software, it’d be a major bug if someone could hack it easily to change the function from its intended purpose and should be fixed.

This also gives an excuse for the company to start selling a new firearm considered “safer”. It’s in their best interest from a PR stand point AND new product standpoint because everyone that has more than one Glock will likely buy it just because it’s a new Glock.

I agree but it’s also known the more educated the parent the better chances you have, this is why it’s systemic and not an immediate change. It takes a generation and we’re seeing what happens from the result of education cuts from a couple decades ago. Parents won’t change themselves, it takes a generation and a government that can plan in advance for the benefit of society, which isn’t gonna happen in the near term. We have to do it ourselves these days.

We can’t get rid of gang bangers and criminals easily, they end up taking more resources in prison so they’re released. It’s really a stupid cycle.

So are these new V models based on a certain Gen Glock? Are these Gen 5s? Are these going to be Gen 6s?
General consensus is these are Gen 5s with a reworked trigger and slide.

These will be put in the CA roster eventually (mid 2026 is the goal it seems)

And Gen 6 is still coming later

Been wanting the 19X MOS for years but couldn’t bring myself to pay some LEO double the retail. Now I can hopefully get one using the blue line vets discount at my local distributor…

A reworked trigger and slide is fine but will the CA version also have an LCI and a mag disconnect? Is so then some would say the gen 3 is superior.
