Hi, everyone. New here. Ironically, I've been a non registered lurker at calguns for the last decade or so and finally decided to register the other day, unsuccessfully. I did some internet digging and read all about the issues that site was/is having and stumbled on this one. I used to spend a lot of time at the range but not so much these days since my kid was born. When I do get to shoot these days, it's primarily focused on CCW drills. I'm located in Orange County and my primary shooting spots are OnTarget Range in Laguna Niguel and Raahauges out in Corona. Looking forward to being a part of this community.

Came here as looks like the Calgun site is dead and found y'all from recommendations from Reddit. Same user ID there as before. I sold all my real steel stuff e.g. southpaw AR15 and Mossberg 590A1 after my divorce. Only have a parts lot of 10-22 that i plan to sell here soon. Born and raised here in San Francisco but planning to move somewhere back East with mi amor if all goes well. This is future 5 to 10 years plan from now for my retirement. I am slowly getting back into firearms with my son for home defense and more. Our home was burglarized in 2021 3x!!! Since been fortified to the Nth degree.
 
Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I'm a California kid, born and raised, native Angeleno too. I don't own any guns right now but I will be making a trip to the gun store next week. I have a non REAL ID California drivers license and California state ID that is a REAL ID, I keep both in my wallet. I also have CA fishing license that I bought a few days ago, it's good for 365 days. I think I should be okay but I'll dig through my mail for some more papers I can use as proof of residency, I will aslo bring my passport too just to be safe. The gun I have my eyes set on is a CZ75 B. I've rented some stuff at the range and the CZ felt really nice in my hand and as a lefty shooter I had no issues with it.

Other than that I like video games, manga, anime, and watching sports. Bit of a dork ngl.
 
Been on Calguns for five years now, and probably a dozen Reddit accounts. Loving this site, looks fantastic.
 
Hello There

Relatively new gun owner, I bought my first rifle at the height of the pandemic, 2022. I hardly shot for the first year and half, but I am practicing weekly now. I have been into firearms since I was a kid, but grew up in a pretty anti-gun house. After college I was finally able to afford my own and dove into the sport. I impulse bought my first rifle, KR103, the same in my profile picture. I've tricked it out heavily, custom gunsmithing, cerakote, etc. I also have a Gallant/Galil clone in 556, and a CZ75B. I am a sucker for Cold War era guns, though I like some modern stuff as well.

I made my way here after months of trying to access calguns with no to very limited success, and today I stumbled on the reddit link that got me here. Glad to join the community.

I'm in San Diego and look forward to actively resuming my participation as I previously enjoyed in the other forum.

Thank you admin for building this site and look forward to getting to know many of you here.

Calguns permabanned last year: originally S.O.A.R. which was name changed to CheapBloke. 5+ Years on Calguns, 5000+ postings if OT was counted. 70+ itrader 100%. Gafs: Master Trader.

Oh and I shoot at On Target mainly for indoor (if you shoot at On Target, maybe you saw me (lonesome Asian geek-look in raggedy clothes, sometimes slippers)) and Camp Pendleton for outdoor.

I came here from CalGuns. I got real tired of the ineptitude of those running that site, especially since the old software worked perfectly for me. I will probably go back to CalGuns from time to time but I think I’ve found my new home here.

I will post up my avatar as soon as I can. Before I tell you about it, I’d welcome any comments about it.

I’ll be 73 this December and I simply enjoy adding to the conversations from time to time.
