New Ruger RXM - Colab between Ruger and Magpul

Even at $379 and optics ready, it is still not a Glock nor an investment I'd care to make. Having bought another Glock earlier today, I would just take that $379, save a few more bucks, and go buy another Glock something lol.

Im all for another manufacturer pushing the boundaries of fcg based design.
Saw the Turkish glock like clone allow for a Gen 5 slide to function on its Gen 3 clone frame.

That would be where Id like to see fcg guns evolve and accomodate diff generations of glock clone parts.

Im sure we will see off roster ppts for whatever comes next.

I am actually kind of interested in the RXM just to have a Gen 3 Glock-compatible FCU. Assuming Magpul will come out with other grip modules like maybe a crossover G45/19X grip. Even though the slide is optic cut, I'd rather use a factory Glock slide on it, even if I had to get it optic cut.

I’m old enough to remember, it’s an IBM and everything else is a clone.
I'm around the same age. I recall how many times IBM allowed innovation to spring up around them and transform a product. They lost the desktop market, laptops, workstations, soho server, racked servers, clusters, enterprise storage, office suite, soho database, enterprise database, mainframes.

The problem with complacency is that it is not a replacement for drive.

I wish Glock would offer a 1911 style grip option.
I would pay off roster price to have no mag disco , LCI or safety on a G19 gen 3 clone with a 1911 grip angle for CCW.

Trigger weight matters , but triggers don’t really matter when shooting quickly.
Case in point : Gen5 Glock 19 vs Staccato XC . Look at their times. Not trigger dependent. 6 shots in 1.06 seconds with 5 lb Glock trigger. Too fast for the trigger to matter. The stock Glock trigger is as fast as the “nicer” Staccato trigger. Indian or Arrow?

I emailed Ruger about the RXM in CA and got this response,

Good morning Bruce3,

The new RXM is not available in California. Under California law, center fire pistols manufactured after January 1, 2007, must be equipped with both a loaded chamber indicator and a magazine disconnect. Although the RXM has a witness hole that allows one to determine the presence of a round in the chamber, the California Department of Justice has not recognized this device as satisfying the loaded chamber indicator requirement. The RXM also does not have a magazine disconnect. At this point there are no plans to produce a California compliant model.

Thank you for choosing Ruger!

That means if anyone in California wants it and doesn’t have a hook up, job or family, they’ll pay HK prices for a Glock clone.

So what is the difference between this and the PSA Daggers? Both looks like he same clone.
The PSA dagger does not have a fire control group with replaceable frame colors/sizes.
The PSA dagger has a Glock grip angle.

The RXM has replaceable grip frames and 1911 grip angle.

I’ll pay off roster for a Glock clone with 1911 grip angle and it’s optics ready with modularity.

Does the new Shadow Systems DR920 P have the Glock grip angle? Does it have a mag disco? It has a compensator but I’m not sure if a built in comp makes it ineligible for Carry Optics.

The other polymer gun that seems interesting is the CZ P-09. Like a P-01 but lighter. The reviews of the new Nocturne are mixed.
