So in reality my father and I going into an FFl and him transferring said firearm would be completely legal. Correct?You must import and report the gun within 60 days of moving back to CA. If you are already a CA resident, you cannot use the new resident exemption to the roster in my understanding.

That being said, selling a firearm in a PPT only requires the buyer to go through the DROS process, not the seller.
