Does creating a hierarchy help at all?

No. that complicates it more because they are filters. Then each one is its own label on the front of the ad. I would have to do a lot of modifications/customization so that if its not a pistol that it won't display.

This is something for later. Also creating the heirarchy is more difficult because it's already under Caliber. I would have to create 3 new categories then one under each. The overhead is large so, this way not optimal is easier for now to manage. It's just under one list.

Hey, guys, I work as a UX designer and I have some search filter suggestions on the classified page.
Right now, as soon as you search for something, the search box gives you some of the existing posts related to your search.
At first, this might seem useful, but when you just want to search all posts about 1911 so you type 1911 and press enter in the search box, It will bring up the very first post that's on the pre-populated list. (In this case, it will search "1911 38 super rock island" which is not what I intended to search)
I suggest keeping the search box simple so that...

The workaround on this is:
Type 1911 in the Keywords box, then move your curser outside of the keywords box and click the right mouse key.
When you do it this way, it doesn't select the first item in the list.
In the picture, I've suggested you click where the circled X is.
It's not intuitive, but it works.
