NFA doesn't apply to suppressors/sbr or sbs, does anything change for us in California?

Not trying to get my hopes up, but I’m guessing will anything change?

No, unfortunately it won’t. CA has a ban on silencers, threaded barrels and sbr separate from fed. It might help in future litigations, but directly won’t change anything

CA does NOT have a ban on threaded barrels.
There are very specific situations where a threaded barrel may be a FEATURE of an assault weapon, but there is no specific threaded barrel ban as a fixed magazine eliminates the features ban on semi-auto pistols.
Almost any non-semi-auto-pistol can have threaded barrels without any assault weapon issue.
All rifles and shotguns can have threaded barrels.

Meant common handguns, not long guns or AR pistols. You can own threaded barrels but the minute it’s installed you are a felon. Essentially a ban, but thanks for clarification

This is not totally useless for CA. This could potentially allow VFG on AR pistols shorter than 26” without going the AOW route

Regarding suppressors. That won't change. CA has banned suppressors via a separate state law that has been in place since the original 1934 NFA was written. IIRC CA banned most NFA weapons around the same time, (SBS/SBR/Suppressor) with no grandfathering at all.

I think technically you could still own full autos until the 1990s when the machine gun laws were codified.

It'll take a while but once all the current cases move through most likely the bans will be struck down unless somehow Democrats take over everything

Unfortunately California continues to be a one party dumpster fire because the majority of people who live in this state are vote for a power obsessed party that doesn’t believe in our rights.

We are NEVER getting supressors or sbrs in this state unless the state laws restricting them get challenged and beaten in the courts.

Hell will freeze over before Dems in this state walk back gun control laws.

I also think hell will freeze over before any sort of federal "suppressors are allowed everywhere" bill gets passed, which would invalidate CA's ban.

It's coming up the pipeline
